Floating life
With his hands pressed into the ground, he pushed until the dirt reached his wrists.
A seed planted between them began to grow, slowly, one leaf at a time.
Once a few leaves had emerged, he lifted the patch of soil and carried it inside. There, he made it float above a table and covered it with a glass dome.
With a few drops of water, the dirt began to shift, and the leaves grew stronger.
Still floating above the table, the plant thickened—almost a trunk now—forming a small, body-like figure shaped from wood.
